How To Take Care of Ugaoo Areca Palm Plant 

After receiving the Ugaoo plant, handle the package gently and open the container carefully.  After unboxing, water the Areca Palm plant with enough water to wet the entire soil in the pot.  Initially keep it in the indirect sunlight for at least 1 to 2 hours before keeping it in the indoor area. Always keep the Areca Palm plant where it will receive indirect sunlight in abundance. I keep the Ugaoo Areca Palm plant in indirect sunlight for at least 2 to 3 hours every day and the rest of the time it is kept on the side table in my living room.  The wagering requirement for the plant is generally twice a week.  But it is ideal to water it whenever the top layer of the soil feels dry.

My suggestion will be that for the first week, keep any Ugaoo plant in indirect sunlight, as in the balcony area. This will help the Indoor plant to adjust to the new place and the new environment.  As the Ugaoo plants are packed in cardboard containers for safer door delivery. After unboxing, give them proper indirect sunlight and water for the 1st week to help them to adjust to the new place, let them be healthy again and then shift them to your indoor area.

I ordered the Ugaoo Areca Palm plant through online shopping from Amazon. I had placed an order through the cash-on-delivery option.  The package was delivered in good condition and in good packaging within 7 days of order.  The live plant container appeared not to have any damage during the transit.  

This was my 3rd online shopping of live plant from Amazon.  I had placed an order for the Areca Palm live plant.  I had received it in a long rectangular box made of cardboard. Inside the box, an  Areca Palm plant was packed within a 5 inches pot.  The pot was covered with thin plastic but it did not help to keep the soil inside the pot intact. The long bamboo-like leaves of the Areca Palm plant were fresh and most of them had dry tips. The stems of the Areca Palm plant were straight and standing.  It reached my address in 7 days but the plant was alive and fresh. But after unboxing,  I noticed that the soil in the pot was very dry, it had no moisture and so the dry soil had fallen out of the pot from the bottom side.  The Areca Palm plant was large in size and was looking beautiful. Looking at the dry tips of the long leaves, I was doubtful about its survival.  I want to suggest the Ugaoo seller, put a temporary tape on the detachable plate below the pot, which will help to keep the soil intact inside the pot during the transit. I want to appreciate Ugaoo’s efforts.  They have really managed to deliver live plants through courier very well.  

The Ugaoo Areca Palm plant with pot, MRP is Rs.795/-.  I paid the Amazon deal price of Rs.409/- with tax and free shipping charges.  I am satisfied with the Seller’s service and Amazon because the live plant with self-watering pot is a beautiful deal, it is delivered in good packaging and without any damage or defect with economical pricing.

In this Amazon live indoor plant review of the Ugaoo Areca Palm plant with self-watering pot, I want to state that the live plant is beautiful, attractive and idle for home decor because it is low on maintenance.  The idea of the self-watering pot is unique and I loved it. The seller has delivered the exact plant according to my order in good packaging and in healthful condition. 

Ugaoo Areca Palm plant is an air-purifying and pet-friendly plant. It is also known as oxygen giving plant. The long bamboo-like leaves of the Areca palm plant in its white pot look lively and lovely.  Most importantly it does not need a lot of attention.  Just water it twice a week and to see it survive and grow is really amazing. It is my 4th live plant from Ugaoo and I am really happy to have them in my living space.

For the first week, I kept the Areca Palm plant on my balcony.  And after that, I keep it inside the Living area. This live plant with its long, feather-shaped fronds, looks beautiful and brings the place alive with its fresh green colour.  I water it twice a week and spray water on the leaves almost every day. Extra water gets collected in the pot tray, which is used by the plant as and when needed.  So this self-watering pot is really helpful, if you are out for a few days then the plant won’t suffer, as you can put water in the tray below. I found this self-watering pot idea unique and very useful.  Every day, I keep my Ugaoo live plants in indirect sunlight for at least 4 to 5 hours.

On the first appearance, I noticed that the Areca Palm plant was alive and healthy but most of the leaf tips were dry. The soil in the pot was totally dry during the transit.  So I had a doubt looking at its dry tips, that this plant might not survive.  After a week I was happy to see that the plant showed new growth. After 15 days, new growth in the form of tiny pairs of leaves was seen around the other stems. I have cut all the dry ends of the leaves and also removed dry, dying leaves which were torn. This helped the plant to look green and fresh.  After 30 days I was sure that this Ugaoo Areca Palm plant will survive.  I am very happy to see that the new pair of leaves is seen growing around the old stems.  So to maintain its beauty, just cut off dry tips, cut off dry leaves, water it twice a week and mist water on the leaves daily will help to prevent drying of the tips.

The potting soil comes with slow-release fertilizer, which is really good. I do not have to worry about its nutrition.  So for the next 5 months, regular watering will keep the plant healthy.  I hope it survives well.  I really want to see if this plant can survive after 6 months.  I will update you regarding its health status if it completes 1 year.

For the given price of just Rs.409/-, I am getting door-delivery of a live plant with a self-watering pot, I find it’s a really good deal.  A beautiful plant with a beautiful pot, delivered in good condition.  Ugaoo live plant can be the best gift option for plant lovers.  I wish to order more live plants from Amazon because I am getting them ready-made. So beautiful plants, and so much variety, it is really exciting to learn about these plants and to have them around you. I am loving it.

I have zero knowledge about gardening and indoor plants.  These ready-made live plants are door delivered, which saves time, and effort and is very helpful for a beginner like me.  With Ugaao live plants, it is easier to decorate your space with live plants without much effort and knowledge.  I appreciate and thank Ugaoo and Amazon for making live plants available online for us. 

My 1st Ugaoo indoor plant order was a combo of Money plant and Syngonium pink plant.  The money plant has survived well.  The syngonium pink plant died within 2 months.  I had ordered a combo on a deal price, I think they have sent one weak plant because of the price issue.  From this experience, I have learnt that I should order a single live plant every time.  So this is the 2nd time I have ordered a single plant, one was the Ugaoo Jade plant and now the Ugaoo Areca Palm.

My Apartment is in the middle of the City which has a lot of air pollution.  Ugaoo Air purifier plants like money plant, jade plant and Areca Palm plant are helping me to naturally clean my space. The Ugaoo indoor plants bring beauty into your home, looking at it you feel happy.  Watching it grow, gives you a sense of satisfaction.  It purely the air around you very easily. Ugaoo plants provide me with health and happiness. 

I am satisfied and happy with the door delivery of the live plants by Ugaoo and Amazon.  I will recommend Ugaoo live plants with the self-watering pot to buyers who will love to add some greenery to their homes without much effort.  My advice, will be to order a single plant, do not order in combos because you might end up getting weak plants with a low chance of survival. I feel Ugaoo live indoor plant is budget-friendly and it is an attractive home decor item that will easily enhance the look of your living space with fresh greenery.
