I ordered a Varkala banarasi Katan silk saree in February 2021 through online shopping from Amazon. I had paid through cash on delivery option, for this Amazon order. Amazon delivered the Varkala saree in a good package and in condition within 10 days of the order. The Varkala silk saree’s Amazon deal price was just Rs.1655/- which was including tax and free shipping. MRP Rs.7500/- was printed on the packet label.
This Varkala banarasi Katan silk saree was really beautiful but it was a defective product, so I had to return it. Amazon did its pick-up within 2 days and the money was refunded within 2 more days without any issues.

In this Amazon silk saree review of the Varkala banarasi Katan silk saree, I want to state that the saree was delivered safely without any damage. The package contained a beautifully packed saree. I loved the way it was packed. The Varkala saree was packed in a soft fabric bag. When I unpacked it, I saw defects on the satin border in the form of threads coming out. Varkala saree was looking exclusive and attractive because of its bright multicoloured combination and golden zari work.
I loved its colour combination and the way it was designed, overall look of the saree with pink and orange colour combination with a contrast satin light blue border was perfect for a winning look. I loved its golden zari butti work all over the body. The pallu was beautiful and the tassels enhanced its look. It had an attached bright pink and orange coloured blouse piece with a golden border. The saree length was 5.5 metres and the blouse piece was 0.8 meters. The width of the silk saree was perfect. The saree fabric was soft and lightweight. The saree material was easy to drape around the body. The pallu length was perfect. The original saree was more beautiful than the product pic.
When I tried to drape it around my body, I noticed that the threads were easily coming out of the satin pattu border. By the time I finished draping it, a lot of threads were hanging on the saree border. This was the major defect in the saree and I returned it for the same reason. I came across this brand during my product research. On the Amazon App, customer reviews for the Varkala saree brand were really good. So I was hoping to receive a defect-free saree. I think I got this saree for the deal price of Rs.1655/- because it was defective a piece. I was extremely disappointed with the Seller, for sending a defective saree.
During my product research for silk sarees, I noticed that only Varkala brand saree designs are exclusive and attractive, perfect for a wedding pick. The price range is high and matches the way they are designed. After this bad experience with the Varkala brand, I have decided not to order any more sarees from this brand.
I will recommend Amazon Brand Anarva banarasi silk-blend sarees to buyers who want to flaunt their beauty in a budget-friendly, comfortable silk saree. The Amazon Brand Anarva sarees collection is more traditional with attractive colour combinations and affordable prices.
