The delivered Isha Life products appeared not to have any damage or defect. Isha cotton rug yoga mat MRP is Rs.1247/-. I paid Rs.200/- for the mystic cotton yoga mat cover. I paid Rs.74/- as taxes. Both the Isha life products appeared to be well-designed and have superior quality.

How To Wash Isha Cotton Yoga Mat?

Spray water and make the yoga mat wet. Use detergent and a plastic brush to rub it gently from both sides. Wash away all the detergent and dirt with water spray. Let the water drain away and dry the yoga mat using direct sunlight. It will dry in indirect sunlight also, no problem.  You can also dry it by placing it under the ceiling fan. The cotton rug material is easy to wash, easy to dry and easy to maintain.

In this honest review of Isha Life’s yoga store product, the Isha cotton rug yoga mat, I want to present my review through the following points – Isha Life offers to deliver superior quality yoga-related products on the doorstep, it is a great effort and I appreciate that from the bottom of my heart. I received a brand new Isha Life product without any damage or defect, in the exact colour and design as per my order.

I ordered this cotton yoga mat to do my Isha Yoga practices like preparatory asanas, Isha Shambhavi Mahamudra Kriya, Isha Pancha bhuta kriya and Isha Surya Kriya. I liked its design because it has a top layer of high-quality cotton material and also has a rubberized back for a firm grip on the floor. It does not have any rubber smell, it folds and unfolds easily and spreads flat on the floor. It is lightweight and can be carried easily to yoga programmes using a yoga mat cover. It is washable and so it is easy to maintain. The dirt marks are less visible because of their dark blue colour. This Isha cotton rug yoga mat is well designed, looks elegant, is easy to carry, easy to use, easy to wash, easy to dry and durable at the same time.

I have been using it for the last 3 months for doing my Isha Yoga practices. I noticed that it is comfortable to do normal yoga practices like preparatory asanas, Pancha bhuta kriya, Simha kriya and Shambhavi Mahamudra Kriya using this cotton yoga mat. When I practice Isha Surya Kriya, during the parvataasana and sashtaang aasan, my hands and toes slip very easily on the cotton rug layer. Because of this, I have to carefully practice Surya Kriya every time to save myself from falling on the floor. The cotton rug material has a rough design but it does not help during the Surya kriya practice. Also, I noticed that it does not stay in one place during the Surya Kriya. It moves a little bit from the place. I think with regular use, after a time of six months or one year, the rubberized back will lose grip even more.  So if you are practising yoga which involves difficult postures that need a firm mat grip then this is not the one for you. This yoga mat is perfect for simple yoga practices. During the Surya Kriya practice when I enter parvataasan from Sashtaanga, my big toe’s skin gets cut because of scraping on the cotton rug material. The skin on the big toes comes off and cuts off sometimes. It becomes painful sometimes to practice Surya Kriya because of this issue.

The quality and design of this yoga mat are superior compared to the price. Only one thing is missing and that is a firm grip on the floor. If this yoga mat can provide 100% grip on the floor even during difficult yoga practices then it will be a perfect cotton yoga mat. I hope that Isha Life will improve its design in the coming future to clear all its faults. After using it for 3 months, I washed it using water, detergent and a plastic brush. It was easy to clean dirt and dust from the cotton rug layer. It dried very easily on my balcony in the indirect sunlight. It was ready for use for the next-day yoga practice. So as it is washable, I will get a clean and fresh yoga mat whenever I want. The cotton layer and rubberized back material look durable. The only issue is the poor grip. 

On the Amazon app, I searched for an economical cotton yoga mat. But there are only a few options available when it comes to a cotton yoga mat with a rubberized back which has good quality and also which can be budget-friendly and durable too.  So if you are searching for a cotton yoga mat and want to invest in a good quality yoga mat then there are many options available on the Isha Life website.
