How To Assemble Kosmocare Shower Wheelchair –

Unpack the product and check that the contents match the description of the part list in the manual.  Begin with attaching the frame connectors to the armrest rods using the blue screw concealers and small screws.

While assembling the frame, ensure that the holes are facing inside to mount the bucket holder frame. Please note that the pitch row of the two bars is different. Check for front and rear bars respectively. Place the bucket holder frame. Fix the backrest to the rear of the frame using the large screws along with the 8 small washers and nuts.

Attach the castors to the frame.  Flip the lever down to lock the wheel. Assemble the Castors to the frame using a washer to tighten them.  Unlock once done and make sure they swivel smoothly.

Assemble the footrest to the front of the chair using the small screws and nuts.

Mount the seat onto the frame with an easy-to-push, fix and slide the bucket from underneath.  Place the seat cover on top.

Check all components are fixed well. Always lock the castors before use.

Inspect the castors at least once a month.

Do not exceed the maximum load capacity.  Avoid sitting on the edge of the chair.

Always assist the patient during the transfer to and from the wheelchair.  Do not step on the footrest when transferring as this could cause tipping.

Clear the area of any obstruction so you don’t stumble on something or make it fall.

Lock the castors and check that the shower chair is standing firmly in place, not allowing it to wobble or slide.

Clean the chair thoroughly after every use. You can rinse it in the shower and then wipe it.  Allow it to dry and then keep it in a safe place for the next use.

I paid the Amazon price of Rs.9,780/- for this Kosmocare wheelchair which is including tax and a free shipping charge. I made an online payment for this Amazon order. Amazon delivered this Kosmocare wheelchair within 6 days in good condition and in good packaging. In the Kosmocare Box, all parts were received exactly as per the content list.  Kosmocare wheelchair parts did not appear to have any damage or defects. An original Kosmocare product was delivered by Amazon in safe packaging and quick delivery.

In this Amazon wheelchair review of the Kosmocare shower wheelchair, I want to mention that the Kosmocare shower wheelchair is truly designed to provide comfort and support in the Toilet/bathroom to patients with mobility issues and also provides great help to caregivers.

I received Kosmocare products in very safe packaging.  The Main package box did not appear to have any damage during the transit.  On unboxing the package,  I found all the necessary parts exactly as per the content list.  I have received an Instruction leaflet with the wheelchair parts.  Kosmocare wheelchair needed a lot of assembling work. I took the help of my father to complete the assembling work.  It takes a minimum of 1 hour to assemble this wheelchair by two persons.  The instructions printed on the leaflet are not enough.  They have provided a link to a Youtube video showing the detailed assembling of this wheelchair.  Do watch this Youtube video first carefully, and then proceed with the assembling work.  For me and my father assembling this wheelchair was a very tiring job.

I had ordered this Kosmocare wheelchair for my Mother who is a rheumatoid arthritis patient having mobility issues. She is unable to walk to the toilet because of her joint pain. The top seat is comfortable.  She cannot raise her feet to keep on the given footrest.  So we have removed the footrest.  She can sit comfortably in a wheelchair with the help of a fixed armrest. This wheelchair is lightweight and comes with a handle on the backside.  The 4 castors’ wheels move swiftly and easily in any direction. The caregiver can push or pull this wheelchair easily, with the help of this handle.  The push handle is provided with a rubber grip.  Because of this Shower wheelchair, my father’s job is made easy and stress-free.  He can now easily move her around the bathroom without much effort. When the wheelchair is on the move, as a patient my mother feels very comfortable.  Taking shower and using the toilet is now very easy and comfortable for her with maximum safety and support.

This shower wheelchair is a non-folding type. The design of this wheelchair is compact and slim, so takes up less space in the bathroom.  This Kosmocare wheelchair is easy to use, easy to push and pull, easy to clean and easy to maintain.  The built quality is superior with good stability and support.

Kosmocare shower wheelchair comes with 4 castor wheels. The rear wheels have a lock system to provide grip on the bathroom floor. The locks on the 2 rear wheels can be easily operated with the push of one’s feet.  The only flaw in this design is that it cannot provide 100% stability on the wet bathroom floor. The lock system needs improvement and a better design.  So the patient will need caregiver support at the time of sitting or getting up from the wheelchair.
