Philips Viva Collection Air Fryer Hd9238/21 with digital display is a multipurpose 3-in-1 air fryer. I have a Philips air fryer HD9238 in Black Colour. The 3 in 1 Philips air fryer HD9238 uses 80% less oil and can air fry, bake and grill food using patented rapid air technology. Rapid air technology is a healthy option for frying food using less oil or without oil making healthy fries for guilt-free eating.
Philips air fryer HD9238/21 has a 1425-watt power motor and the air fryer basket capacity is 0.8 Kgs. It features a digital display on the air fryer unit for easy temperature (C & F) and time control. Its Power cord length is 1 meter. Its Operating voltage is 230 volts. This Philips air fryer has 2 years warranty.

I ordered a Philips air fryer hd9238/21 with a digital display from Amazon in October 2018 on cash on delivery basis. For this air fryer, I paid a total price of Rs.12,800/- which is including shipping charges and taxes. This air fryer was delivered in good condition and in good packaging within 5 days of order.
The Philips air fryer hd9238 package contained 1 Air fryer, 1 catalogue and 1 free booklet of 25 air fryer recipes.
I registered this Philips air fryer online on the next day of receipt on the Philips website for availing 2 years of warranty.
This Philips air fryer hd9238 does not require installation.

I have been using Philips air fryer hd9238/21 for more than 1 year and 8 months. What I love about this Philips air fryer is that it is easy to use, easy to clean and features rapid air fry technology for healthy frying with 80% less oil. Also, I like that it offers healthy, tasty fries with an unattended cooking experience for guilt-free eating with non-messy kitchen countertops.
Philips air fryer hd9238/21 pros and cons are as follows:-
It is easy to use because of its digital display. With the help of a digital display, temperature and time settings can be controlled easily using soft-touch buttons with a beep sound. The maximum temperature setting is 200 degrees centigrades and it can be set in Fahrenheit too. The maximum time setting is up to 60 minutes. Two soft-touch arrow buttons with a beep sound are provided on the main unit to increase/decrease time and temperature settings. A Separate Soft-touch Air fryer on/off/pause button with a beep sound is provided on the main unit.
The Air fryer basket capacity is 0.8 kg and the quantity is enough for 2 persons. The air fryer basket has an easy-to-clean detachable bottom plate and a removable top lid. The stainless steel top lead is provided in this model especially for preventing the air fryer coil from getting dirty with oil. The air fryer basket has a firm clip-on/off press button for grip on the outer air fryer basket making it easy to carry.
Air fryer in working mode generates heat from backside vents so air fryer must be put in a place with proper ventilation for free air movement. Do not place any other electrical appliance near the air fryer.
I use this multipurpose air fryer for making various healthy fries recipes, to air fry ready-to-fry items like Mccain fries, and Amul fries and for nuts roasting purposes.
The air fryer basket is easy to clean manually and also, and it is dishwasher safe.
The major con is in the air fryer basket’s top edges which are sharp. because of the sharp edges removing and placing the lid on the basket is not smooth. If the air fryer basket is not handled carefully then there are chances of getting cut on the fingers.
I am happy owning this air fryer, but one more con which I want to highlight is that the air fryer accessories like a baking tray and a grilling tray have to be purchased separately and are very expensive. I have not purchased them so I cannot use this air fryer for baking and grilling purposes. These air fryer accessories are available on Amazon App.
How I Use Philips Air Fryer Hd9238/21
I love making air fryer recipes like potato french fries, chicken fry, fish fry, kingfish fry, prawns fry, calamari fry, eggplant wedges fry, breadfruit wedges fry, ladyfinger fry, samosa, potato wedges fry, sweet potato wedges fry and plantains wedges fry.
Also, I use the air fryer to roast peanuts and almonds easily, to air fry bread for making breadcrumbs, to fry onions for biryani, to air fry sweetcorn and popcorn, ready to fry Mccain and Amul fries.
I use this air fryer to fry freshly grated coconut and onions to prepare shaguti paste easily. This is my version of a quick shaguti paste recipe.

In my air fryer recipes, I always use 50% of oil because it provides food with a good taste, keeping it tender by retaining moisture. According to my experience, 100% oil-free air frying makes food dry, tasteless and difficult to digest.
