To maintain healthy green foliage always keep the spider plant where it will receive indirect sunlight in abundance. I keep the Ugaoo spider plant in indirect sunlight for at least 2 to 3 hours every day and the rest of the time it is kept on the corner table in my living room. The water requirement for this plant is generally twice a week. But it is ideal to water it whenever the top layer of the soil feels dry. I water this indoor plant twice a week and I do spray water on the leaves, once a week which helps to keep the leaves moist and clean. The cleaner leaves shine beautifully and spraying water on the leaves prevents the drying of tips.
My suggestion will be that for the first week, keep any Ugaoo live plant in indirect sunlight, as in the balcony area. This will help the Indoor plant to adjust to the new place and the new environment. As the Ugaoo plants are packed in cardboard containers for safer door delivery. After unboxing, give them proper indirect sunlight and water for the 1st week to help them to adjust to the new place, let them be healthy again and then shift them to your indoor area.

I ordered the Ugaoo spider plant in July 2021 through online shopping from Amazon. I had placed an order through an online payment option. The package was delivered in good condition and in good packaging within 7 days of order. The cardboard container with a live plant appeared not to have any damage during the transit.
This was my 6th online shopping for natural live plants from Amazon. I had placed an order for the spider plant with a self-watering pot. I had received it in a long rectangular box made of cardboard. Inside the box, a small spider plant was packed within a 4 inches yellow plastic pot. The pot was covered with thin plastic but it did not help to keep the soil inside the pot intact. The green leaves of the spider plant were fresh and the plant looked alive with dry tips. It was rainy season and this indoor plant reached my address within 7 days the plant was alive and fresh. But after unboxing, I noticed that the soil in the pot was very dry, it had no moisture and so the dry soil had fallen out of the pot from the bottom side. The moss which was kept on the top cover of the soil to maintain moisture was also completely dried. The spider plant was small in size and was looking beautiful because of its green colour with white variegations. I want to suggest the Ugaoo seller, put a temporary tape on the detachable plate below the pot, which will help to keep the soil intact inside the pot during the transit. I want to appreciate Ugaoo’s efforts. They have really managed to deliver live plants through courier very well. I completely understand that it takes a lot of experience and genuine efforts to provide live plants through online delivery, which can really survive through travelling, a completely new environment and a new plant parent.
The Ugaoo spider plant with pot, MRP is Rs.395/-. I paid the Amazon deal price of Rs.325/- with tax and free shipping charges. I am satisfied with the Seller’s service and Amazon because the live plant with self-watering pot is a beautiful deal, it is delivered in good packaging and without any damage or defect.
How To Save A Dying Spider Plant?
I want to share my experience regarding how to save a dying spider plant. I received this spider plant in 80% good condition. The plant looked healthy with dry tips. It has survived 7-day travel very well. On the door delivery date, the soil in the pot appeared completely dry. This spider plant may have been in shock because of the 7-day travel, and no water. And as it was ordered during the rainy season, it may have problems adjusting to the completely new environment and extra moisture in the surrounding air.
In the first week, It was kept on the Balcony with sufficient bright direct sunlight. I watered it twice a week. I noticed that after watering it, the next day 1 or 2 leaves used to rot at the roots. So to avoid that I started watering it once a week. In the second week, I started keeping it in the living area. I used to keep it in the bright sunlight for 3 to 4 hours every day. But somehow, every time after watering leaves were rotting at the roots. By the end of the second month, most of the leaves had died and I feared that by the end of the rainy season this spider plant will not survive.
So to save this dying spider plant I did the following things. Firstly, I watered it once in 15 days. This helped to prevent root decay. I stopped keeping it indoors and instead kept it on the balcony until it became healthy again. Gave it proper free space around it, to allow it to grow from all sides. As a plant parent transmitted positive energy, love and positive thoughts and prayed for its good health. To my pleasant surprise, now it is 7 months old, it’s January 2022 now and the Ugaoo spider plant has survived well, it is showing new growth by spreading its beautiful green foliage from all sides. Now I have started keeping it indoors again, near the door, where the indirect sunlight enters the living room. I keep it on the balcony for 2-3 hours every day and water it twice a week. I am happy that the spider plant has survived and it is healthy again.

In this Amazon live indoor plant review of the Ugaoo spider plant with self-watering pot, I want to state that the live plant is beautiful, attractive and idle for home decor because it is low on maintenance. The green plant in a bright yellow plastic pot looks amazing and stylish. The idea of the self-watering pot is unique and I loved it. The seller has delivered the exact plant according to my order in good packaging and in healthful condition.
The Ugaoo spider plant is an air-purifying and low-maintenance plant. I observed that a spider plant is so different because it does not have a common stem. It grows centrally through strap-shaped, narrow leaves coming out of the soil. The stem does not exist. It’s like only a bunch of leaves coming out of the soil in a circle. The spider plant leaves are very thin and delicate. The style of its leaves when they fully spread, looks like spider legs. When these narrow and long leaves grow and hang around the pot, it looks stunning and pretty. It helps to lift the energy of my living space. Most importantly it does not need a lot of attention. Just water it twice a week and to see it survive and grow is really amazing. It is my 6th live plant from Ugaoo and I am really happy to have them in my living space.
For the first week, I kept this plant on my balcony. Later kept it indoors, in my living area. And when the plant was almost dying, I stopped watering it twice a week. I kept it on the balcony and watered it once in 15 days until it became healthy again. Now I keep it in the living area, near the balcony door, where it gets indirect sunlight and fresh air throughout the day. This live plant with its narrow strap-shaped foliage looks beautiful and brings the place alive with its fresh green and white colour. I water it twice a week now. I also spray water on the leaves once a week which prevents tips from drying. Extra water gets collected in the pot tray, which is used by the plant as and when needed. So this self-watering pot is really helpful, if you are away for a few days then the plant won’t suffer, as you can put water in the tray below. I found this self-watering pot idea unique and very useful. Every day, I keep my Ugaoo live plants in indirect sunlight for at least 4 to 5 hours.
After 7 months now, It’s January 2022, I am extremely happy to see that the plant had survived well in the new environment. Still after watering, a leaf or two rots from the roots. But multiple new growths are seen, which keeps the plant in good shape. I am very happy to see that the plant is growing well, it is still healthy with no dry tips and a new leaf is seen growing frequently through the soil. By observing this plant, I have learnt that it grows by a leaf every time. The brighter, glossy green and white variegations, require indirect sunlight in abundance. So to maintain its beauty, water it twice a week, keep it in indirect sunlight for at least 2-3 hours every day and mist water on the leaves once a week will help to prevent drying of the tips.
The potting soil comes with slow-release fertilizer, which is really good. I do not have to worry about its nutrition. So regular watering will keep the plant healthy. I hope it survives well in future too. It has successfully survived for 7 months and it has not become root-bound. I will have to change its pot to a bigger size when it’s root-bound. A fully grown, healthy spider plant with its hanging leaves will look more stunning in a hanging pot.
For the given price of Rs.325/-, I am getting door-delivery of a live plant with a self-watering pot, I find it’s a really good deal. A beautiful plant with a beautiful pot, delivered in good condition. To some, it may look like an expensive nursery plant. I feel that the Ugaoo brand provides us with indoor plants which are healthy, have good soil with slow-release fertilizers, and a unique self-watering pot that helps them to survive and grow well in a new environment. Ugaoo brand’s intentions are pure and it shows in their efforts to provide indoor plants through home delivery that survive during transit, and also survive well for the next 1 year without much effort from the plant’s parent. This price paid is worth it for a beginner like me. I have no regrets, get pure joy when I look at my Ugaoo plants as a parent.

My 1st Ugaoo indoor plant order was a combo of Money plant and Syngonium pink plant. The Money plant has survived well. The Syngonium pink plant died within 2 months. I had ordered a combo on a deal price, I think they have sent one weak plant because of the price issue. From this experience, I have learnt that I should order a single live plant every time.
